Because quite honestly, white is the best colour offered. Suits the 86 best, imo. I'll be getting a white one

LOL! i picked Glacier White as well, was looking at the photos on home page of this website. Blue looks pretty neat in the light and in the dark.

I'm going to go down to Oldmac Toyota in Cleveland today, see what their deal is. If whoever I speak to doesn't have any idea about the car I'm just going to leave abruptly. I can't believe that some people are struggling to find sales reps who know about this car? Certainly says something about their enthusiasm for their job considering us, the consumer, have known about this car for 3+ YEARS already (maybe not in an official capacity, but we had good suspicions that something was up!).

Can't decide on spec level... Although a lot of the options on the high level I want could be dealer fitted (just things like the aluminium bits, etc), I can't help but think I might go aftermarket wheels, and I really don't want to be paying for their overpriced nav system! HIDs and daytime running lights might have to be something I source post-sale. Do want.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, colour is difficult too. If it really does have that red trim in most models, I think I'd really consider a red car. Also because racecar! Red cars look hot with black/dark wheels, too. I can imagine those TE37 SL's that were revealed would look magic on a red one. I've always had silver cars because it's "safe", but I don't know, red is appealing to me in a way it never has.

Went down there today, bloke I saw seemed fairly knowledgeable. Underestimated how keen I was a bit and how much I knew, but he was actually on top of the situation! Actually walked me through that internal Toyota PDF that spec details have come from.

He said that we should be expecting base model around 40k and premium around 45k. Bit disappointing I know, but who knows, that's what they might be told to say so that if it comes in a few grand less, they look like good guys. Seems logical to me.

$500 deposit required, but no guarantee you'll get into the first run they get. Obviously you'll get a place held but I think they're still unsure of how many they'll get straight up. Deposit is fully refundable subject to test drive and final price. On the salesman's admittance, it's pretty loose.

Just put my order down for a blue manual GT. They haven't taken a deposite yet, but they only want $500, and it's refundable if I don't like the final price.

The manager I spoke to didn't seem to know a lot about it, but he had written in his diary that the official release date is the 8th of June.

He also said I missed cut off for a June delivery, and the cut off for July delivery is 13th of March (which is why he took the order without a deposit, I needed to talk to my girlfriend first). So if you want one by July, order tomorrow :P

Is that so...

Arg... I really wanted to order in time to get it by July but I'm currently not in a comfortable enough position (financially) to do so. Maybe I should be stupid and go do it anyway. =P

I am trying as hard as I can to solidify my position before release time, but dammit, being stupid and just doing it is always an option

Just do it man. I was going to put a deposit down back in nov !!!! Then wife lost her job.

Put deposit down yesterday and told my wife to find another job !!!!

Might put it on a longer lease if needed. Quite smoking, stop gambling and I'm sure I will afford it lol.
