Don't forget to also get the correctly sized hole saw to place it in the correct side of the plastic trim. The camera goes on the driver side, since the HU lines are offset to account for the factory placement.

The kit I got includes everything, has sufficiently long wires, 99% plug and play (with the exception of tapping a 5vdc wire on the HU w/ an in line splice.

You could go piece a kit together yourself, but I have no idea about camera quality or any of the other harnesses required.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead.

Could you be a bit more specific on what wire you were supposed to splice? I can't really tell from the pics, but it looks like the camera had a small connector and four wires (not inserted into the connector) on it. You mention that one pair of the wires was for reversing the image and the other pair for removing the lines. Where was the power line? Was it in the connector?

Thanks.

The 4 small wires are near the tail end of the harness, and the instructions detail that they are for 180 rotate and the lines.

The ACC PWR wire on the back of the stock radio unit on MY BRZ is red/pink, as circled in the center of the yellow circle in pic above.

[CAMERA]----[4wires]---------------------------------------------------[RCA/pwer splice]

Our cars are not listed as compatible but if those connectors are suitable then it seems like an ok deal. Check with the seller.

Found the same camera under different title. Which it says compatible with brz. It looks the same though.

I am intrigued by the instruction in one pic which says remove the a/c outlet. I would be asking the seller to send the instructions as I did not need to do that for my camera install, but I have a GTS86 & the BRZ may be different.

Did you need RCA w\pins from SVXdc adapter when you installing your Toyota Fit cam?

My method did not involve an adapter. Do an advanced search on the forum under notout86.
