Check out scion.com/bespoke and view the PDF. The part # for the unit appears to be the premium upgrade for all the extra goodies. Doubt that is in the $500 range...

Exactly.. Nothing special about the price.. You will end up paying $1200 for the radio after all is said and done to get the features advertised..

Thumbs up Another Happy 2014 Radio Install

FWIW, I can confirm these instructions. Upgrading (and, IMNSHO, it is a definite improvement!) from Bespoke to 2014 base really is that simple. We ordered ours from Ventura Toyota last Thursday; it came in the next day. I wish we could have had it to show other interested FR-S owners at 86EXPO, but we were driving to Las Vegas when we got the call. Our install was quick and simple with no complications, confusion or surprises - 10 minutes tops, with only a #2 Philips screwdriver and a 10mm nutdriver (or socket and extension) for tools. Remember to change the vehicle type from the default 'tC' to 'FR-S', pair your phone and upload contacts, do the radio presets, setup the sound parameters and enjoy.

The new unit displays a Scion logo as it powers up. Volume control is an order of magnitude easier to adjust on the road than our 2013 Bespoke, and I found the unit much more ergonomic, in general. We have an Android phone (Samsung T679), and it works fine. USB and CD functions are as expected. We don't use BT audio, and don't have a backup camera (yet).

If any of you iPhone users are interested, our Bespoke HU will be on the market early next month.

Hey Wayne, i should have checked your system. I also want to upgrade to something with navigation capabilities. How'd you like it so far?

Also, how much did you get it for if you dont mind me asking. Pls send my regards to Kay.

Hmmmm, might have to look into this. Looks like a lot of added functionality in the Bespoke Premium unit

you'll need some cheap brackets and an antenna. i'll know in just a few minutes/couple hours what else is enabled in the nav module. mine is "out for delivery" right now.

i dont think there is a sub out.

I assume I won't run into any compatibility issues with my OEM Audio plus system in my FRS? I would imagine not considering the Oem + upgrades are completely plug and play with the Oem head unit ( non bespoke). Correct me if I'm wrong
