**HELP** Heated Seats Stopped Working

I removed the connectors so I can take out the heated seat switches to clean them. After wiping them down, I connected everything back (even the cig connector), however my heated seats stopped working. The lights won't turn on, and I tried to see if the seats would work even if the lights wouldn't turn on.

Am I missing anything here guys? Thanks in advance. Im new to this.

Do you own/know how to use a multimeter?

I'll guess you put the connectors back together wrong.

Yep, a multi-meter is a useful tool.

Back in the day we had these little store bought test lights.

Further back in the day we would make a test light with a 6-V light bulb and two pieces of wire.

Before that, we would wear a "car coat" in the wintertime.

Racoon coats worked good back in the buggy days.

Got to go, it's time fer ma meds -

How did you "clean" the switches?

And exactly what lights won't go on? The lights on the switch?

If so, I would say you don't have the switches re-connected correctly, or you ruined them.

I ran into a similar scenario when removing the centre console panel. I didn't disconnect the battery before disconnecting the seat heater and power outlet connections.

as it turns out, I actually blew each lightbulb in the seat heater switches. the switches themselves still worked and still provided heat.

I would use a multimeter/voltmeter to check and see if you have heat.

Start with the actual fuses though.
