I saw the dealer I ordered mine from had 2 others in transit available on their site. The dealer is Subaru of George Town(TX). I have been dealing with Kevin Sims and he has been great, hes provided me with a lot of help and updates working with my situation (currently deployed and supposed to come back at the end of this month). The two available are a limited and premium.

Remember, if there's a market adjustment.... Wait.

buying out of state is easy. you just buy it, get a temp tag from the dealership, then drive it back to TX and register it there. When you register it you'll pay TX sales tax as well. The dealership you buy from won't charge you tax.

I'm military and have done this a few times as a TX resident living in other states. It's easy, the only bad thing is TX sales tax is pretty high, but nothing you can really do about that.

My dealer charged me out of state tax and registered it for me.

thanks for the help guys. im gonna look into some dealerships around austin, dallas, and SA maybe they still have some spots available. as oppose to buying one from MA. and having it shipped down here. which im not even sure if the whole process could be done without being there in person.

Palm beach Florida dealer has a DGM MT BRZ but of course its only available because they want a $5000 mark up. I laughed at them said no thanks and hung up. The only cars I'm finding that are available have mark ups

i did get this response from a dealer in texas
Thank you for your interest in the 2013 SUBARU BRZ. SUBARU opened the Sold Order System to us on March 1st and we have just start receiving them today. As of right now, the first couple BRZ’s that we have incoming are already spoken for, however, there is always the possibility of one of those reservations falling through. SUBARU is going to be producing them at an average rate of 1 or 2 per dealer per month, so they will be very limited production. If you are interested I have 2 BRZ incoming (no ETA at this time) that have not been reserved and they are quoted as follows:
1.- 2013 BRZ 2.0 Limited with 6 speed manual transmission in Lightning Red. MSRP $ 29,362 + TT&L
2.- 2013 BRZ Limited in Dark Gray Metallic with a 6 speed Automatic Transmission. MSRP: $ 29,646 + TT&L
Feel free to contact me so we can work out the details for you to reserve one. The standard deposit for an incoming unit is $500. Let me know when you can come by and I will be happy to help in any way I can.
You can log in at http://www.subaru.com/brz/2013/index.html and see the car’s specs.

Thank you and best regards,

Ron Amper

another contacted me saying they have on slot available. trying to find out more info from them. they only got 17/30 in google reviews so that worries me, especially trying to deal with them being 5hrs away.

Florida is the only state I know of that does this, but there are probably others too. IE makes you pay sales tax there even if you're registering somewhere else. When they do this, TX just charges you the difference in sales tax percentage. So, you pay sales tax in FL, then pay a little more sales tax in TX when you register.
