@churchx I did google it an play around with the idea however it just didn't look that good to me, may have to go out and see one in person. @Yoshoobaroo what would be the setup if in the future I do go bbk? I'm between titan7 TS-5 and volk racing te37. Hoping to not run spacers.

Akatzu: having BBK may have their drawbacks too on daily only driven car. While painting may enhance looks only partially, it will still be WAAAY cheaper then BBK. And you retain compatibility with stock parts like pads & OE wheel clearance. I saw painted calipers on vw sirocco of my collegue, and apart from color choice (imho blue was not fitting his white car) it seemed better then stock-ish dirty brushed aluminum calipers.

I think the caliper is so light that there's just not a lot of mass to dampen the squeal. Combined with the lack of dust boots and it's not a friendly street setup IMO, more of a budget track setup.

On the plus side, I've had zero issues with mine on the track and this is probably the cheapest BBK from a consumables standpoint ($80 trackable/progressive Wilwood pads + $80 Centric blanks).
Agreed with DarkSunrise, I have a good experience at track with RR's kit but, big but, noisy for DD. I cannot delete the noise yet, try 2 pad, add shims...I manage to reduce the noise thou to an acceptable level.

@churchx I may give this idea a go but will definately upgrade in the future since I'm not looking into the gen 2 for another 5-6 years I will be getting different set of wheels for mine. May try to find a totaled 86 with the performance package that include the brembos. @fminicooper dang is it a rotor more so or as DarkSunrise said not enough mass to dampen the squeal? Wondering how they got it down on the performance package 86 and brz ith brembos.
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135328 guessing this thread would help with clearence without spacers?

Look at carbotech 1521 pads and some wilwood shim. Works perfectly on my rr bbk street and rear bbk. Then I use carbotech xp10/8s at track and allows me to use the same rotors
