Got hit (bumped)! Need part number for the black part of bumper.
Been searching for the name and part number for the the black part of the bumper (apron? Diffuser? Exhaust cover?). Most of what I've found are third party or the part number for the whole bumper assembly. I'll add a pic of the scratch tomorrow (can't resize the photo on this damn ipad)

Unfortunately it's part of the bumper.

Looks like it's time for a nice carbon fiber cover piece!

Wanna know what $900 bucks of damage looks like... lol
Most likely not going to replace the whole bumper for this, shopping carbon fiber dress ups ("diffuser") at the moment. Looking like Seibon is the best so far, any other suggestions? Also if any one has links to pics of the Seibon on street that would be awesome. Most of the shots I've seen from searches are promo pics. On a side note, it's pretty ridiculous that car companies use this cheap ass contrast effect on bumpers, if any thing they should make it a separate piece if absolutely necessary. There is no way this should require a complete bumper install, it's like they are single highhandedly trying to keep these collision centers in business (that's a stretch, but it's just crazy).

Doesn't look like it's gashed/dented too terribly. Plastidip will fix you right up and get rid of the stupid pattern.

Plasti dip is definitely another option too.
The Seibon pieces in person look killer. @kanundrum has the larger diffuser (the one that wraps around the bumper) on his car. Just depends do you wanna go carbon or dipped. I vote carbon. =P |

Is that white paint from the other car on there, or is the plastic white underneath the black?

It has to be from the other car, the plastic is all black.

I would avoid tacky exterior CF pieces at all costs.

It was from his license plate holder. I cleaned it and even used multiple plastic shine products on it to try and remove it but this is how it looks even after all that. |

Would vinyl even work for that? I've been thinking about using vinyl to cover the front bumper license plate holes.
In for a solution. |
