So is using one of these things some new form of hipster bullshit that I'm not aware of? Two of my neighbors have them now and I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would want to use one. Their lawns are both half dead and they leave grass clippings everywhere.

Uses no gas or electricity. Cuts very evenly if lawn is perfectly flat and manicured and blades are kept sharp and clean. Can attach tray behind to catch clippings if desired. Man-bun green-energy points.
Had one in the 60s, and another one in the mid 80s. They suck.

I liked using a reel mower, quiet and no more work than a non-self-propelled, if not less work. But yeah, if the lawn isn't even and flat it's a lot less fun. Though it only gets mad if you don't stay on top of the mowing. Spring that meant every 3-4 days which is when I gave up. they're not all as nice to use as the one I have though.

Oh, yes, back up a few feet, raise the handle slightly, push mower while running, lower the handle at the edge of the unmowed part of the lawn, push real hard till it stopped. Rinse and repeat. Yes, and the barnyard was uphill both ways - |

Apparently you can get robotic mowers now, just be careful of the wildlife...

Damnit! I'm on vacation less than an hour and a half from the tail of the dragon, but I didn't bring the FRS. Mistakes were made. Regrets were had...
I gotta be in Chattanooga in October anyway, I guess that is my next opportunity... |

I can confirm this to be true, plenty of great driving roads around here. We are just over the border in GA.

I knew I remembered that new BRZ face from somewhere.
It's Chester from the Sifl & Olly Show!
