$10K MKIV Supra is going to be a pile of scrap metal and cost far FAR too much to be worth it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Supras, but they're NOT cheap.

I thought of doing this too. The Supra would compliment my mr2 and be complete. But I needed a daily driver and not a project so the FRS was the obvious clear choice. Yes, the Supra is legendary but you're not going to walk into a clean Supra project for $25k. I checked mk4 prices the other day and they have jumped from since the last I was looking. A clean NA auto seems to be like $15k. NA 5spd are just under $20k. TT auto's are like $25k and TT 6spd's are non existent or like $35k+. I can almost guarantee you a $10k supra is a heap.

I could get a clean JDM import rhd 94tt 6spd here in Canada for ~$15k. But I refuse to own rhd and trying to insure one is getting more grim these days.

For $25k, I hate to say it but the c6 Vette is probably the best performance bargain in that range. E46 m3 is another great car you can get too for a bit less. But consumables and maintenance are in another league in regards to the FRS.

Please don't buy a $10k mk4 supra though...
