Spoke to the manager. He told me they had a black one, manual. Told me to drive down there for a test drive. Went (hour away and I was very tired that day) and he barely acknowledged me and shunned me off to a salesman who barely spoke english. The black MT, turns out was sold the day before. They had a red though. I said it's 25K, it better be auto. He told me they don't make an auto. I said they do, whatever... haven't driven it. Let's go. He said, no... wait one minute... *speaks to manager* Comes back and tells me I have to fill out paperwork and do a credit check. I told him why? You never said that over the phone... he then said he never promised me a test drive but only to see the car. I told him I went to the FRS Party and I've LOOKED/SEEN a bunch of them already... I wouldn't have driven to see his. I said this is ridiculous and I'm going to report him, he's losing a customer. He told me go ahead and that he didn't care. I said, okay, I'll make sure to let everyone on the forum know not to go to you and they just walked away... so did we. SO pissed. |

Northridge Scion/Toyota
19550 Nordhoff St., Northridge CA 91324 800-278-9975 Helpfulness:Great Knowledge of Vehicle:Ok-ish "Willing to go out of the way":Unsatisfactory Personality:Unsatisfactory Level of Shady-ness:Poor Scumbag Level: Unsatisfactory Keeping you informed (contact) Level:n/a *Overall Dealership* General Manager's helpfulness:Poor Community Oriented:n/a Informed:Unsatisfactory Overall Helpfulness:Ok-ish Service:Ok-ish Pricing on their Vehicle:Good/Great (no markup, but had options) Overall treatment:Unsatisfactory/Ok-ish Walked in RIGHT after I got heated with Hamer / Mission Hills. Luckily, they had a white auto and an orange manual. I got to drive both, almost instantly. Roger, the manager I believe, kept his word and didn't make me do any paperwork or put any money down. The saleslady was nice and took me on a test drive in both vehicles. She had a little trouble with the manual and kind of made me feel scared at times. That was fine as soon as I took the wheel, I understood what all the hype was about. Up until this point, everything was great 100%. However, when she came back after her pep talk or whatever from her other manager (?) She was pretty pushy about us filling out paperwork and saying that she could get us the Raven manual THAT day through a dealer trade. (this was not going to happen nor were we ready to just sign papers with no loan or cash in hand). I made it very clear I was there for a test drive and I would not have any money for her unless I had a right of refusal with the car in front of me. She couldn't assure me of a delivery date and said I wouldn't have rights of refusal because I'd be buying the car that day. When we told her repeatedly we'd rather have her locate one and then we'd come back, she then insulted us by saying "I guess you aren't ready to buy the car, I thought you were, etc." Maybe she was right. But if she actually knew me, my collection of cars, or how my family works... we might be frugal, but will definitely reward good customer service. She kept using Pure Pricing as leverage saying that we'll never find the car elsewhere and for cheaper, which I found petty. I told her I was on other waitlists and that I am not risking my spot to sign papers for an imaginary car with no arrival date (which she could not track unless I sign for - BS!) |

Mark was really good guy and informed me on everything on what scion offers. The good thing is that the car came with rims and sports tires and its a good thing cause I am not a fan of the stock rims and tires scion gave the FR-S. The pricing was $30,000 with taxes, rims, and tires for an AM but with a trade in and working out a deal I got the FR-S for $24,000. Love my FR-S |

Miller Toyota of Anahiem/Scion 1331 N. Euclid St. Anahiem, Ca (800) 940-8092 *Dealers* [Post Reference: 1 Cindy Langlois (Fleet Manager) Helpfulness: 4 Knowledge of Vehicle: 2 "Willing to go out of the way": 1 Personality: 5 Level of Shady-ness: 2 Scumbag Level: 2**; Management : 3 Keeping you informed (contact) Level: 3 *Overall Dealership* General Manager's helpfulness: 1 Community Oriented: 6 Informed: 2 Overall Helpfulness: 1 Service: n/a Pricing on their Vehicle: 1 Overall treatment: 1 Before I bought my FR-S at Power Irvine I went here and seen they had three FR-S. The bad part was they they added rims, tires, and some dealer package which the total cost of all three cars where $34,000??? I wanted to test drive the car and the sales man told me only serious buyer can test drive the FR-S. So I asked to see if I can get approved for a loan to get a FR-S and if I did qualify I would bring my truck so I can trade that in. I filled out the paper work and it only took 3 mins for him to come and tell me I did not make enough money and that I did not qualify? |

I got my car from south bay Toyota, they get a 7 in every category, no mark ups or installation of crap to jack up the price they said they won't do that to any fr-a they get. Carson Toyota is the place for aftermarket parts I order my car there but south bay Toyota got what I wanted first so I had to buy. Talk to Luis in parts at Carson Toyota, he's the man, can get you anything from Japan.

don't focus on where not to go. Focus on where to go.
I picked up my car from Jeff Chang at Longo in El Monte over the weekend. He personally has more orders for cars to be delivered than most other dealers will get in their annual allocation. Sold at MSRP with under $90 in doc fees. Smart. Won't waste your time. Check out my blog below for his email address. Matt

I spoke to Mitch and he said they're putting about $1000 in dealer accessories on their FR-S's. Alarm + door guards + tint.
