BUMP

Seems like there have been SOME (not saying it's a fact) reported issues with FA20Club, Motiv, and PLM.

Can anyone confirm the rest? Perrin did a sneaky job of picturing their over pipe without a sway bar attached to the car. @PERRIN_Chris ??

Here is an old photo from when we were running the Perrin overpipe. We don't have any issues with the Motiv overpipe either...

Running a Whiteline 22mm bar up front.

As long as you're using the factory header, or header that ends in the same spot as stock, with our overpipe and our swaybar, you will be fine. There isn't a ton of room there, so with an aftermarket header or different bar, it might not clear.

I've ordered a Perrin over-pipe and will update with fitment on the hotchkis sway bar (25.4mm). I'm running the FA20club catted header so I'll cross my fingers on the fitment..hopefully it clears well. Being that close to engine heads I don't want the control arm or sway bar smashing into it under heavy compression of the suspension.

Keep us updated. I'm running the same header and sway bar as you. I feel confident its not the header cause I had the same noise with the stock header. I think it is just a little louder and happens more often since adding the sway bars. I'm gonna be under it tomorrow adjusting and perhaps spacing down the sway bar brackets like chutrain did.

The problem is not sitting still or at idle but when the motor is under load and it twists on the motor mounts. After adjusting I've got about a half inch of clearance now over the sway bar and its doing well under load in 1st and 2nd gear with no noises.

Update

Unfortunately after a further road test it does make contact with what sounds like the sway bar in 2nd gear from about 4.2k - 6.3k rpms and in 3rd gear for a little less time. This is under WOT. It's like if the pipe shifted the hump back about an inch it would be perfect. It's not violent but you can feel the vibration come up through the chassis.

You might try dropping down the brackets the sway bar mounts to like chutrain advised. Thats what I did yesterday. I spaced it down about 2-3 mm with 2 washers per bolt. I think what we've learned here is stay with a thinner solid sway bar when combining with an aftermarket overpipe

Is there a pic? I can't visualize how that would work in my head. It seems like it would move it forward/upward.

Here, not the ones you're thinking of. Pic from http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39003
