I drove my car 7 hours to go visit my parents..My dad was worse than a child on Christmas when he saw/drove my car.
What made him (and me) smile more is when he was driving we rolled up to a stop light and two guys kept asking if they could have my car. So naturally my dad revved and sped off and I just gave them a "" as we passed.

Mine has a 5 Axis body kit, easy to spot. I go east on John St every morning, not on Henderson or Glen Cameron, though I am familiar with the area.

Coming out of Wegmans i notice that a 13/14 white WRX has taken up the empty parking space next to my white BRZ. I get a glimpse of the guy and his girl walking past my car as he's giving it 'the look'. Sadly i didn't get to go up to him and say 'hey man nice ride!' as they were walking away from me.
White subaru buddies!!

Took my buddy for his first ride. Did a big smokey burnout (all traction devices off). Then took him through some very fast corners.
He drives a C06 Corvette. He says, "it's a 2 liter?" I just smiled, showed him I was averaging 34 MPG, and proceeded to go sideways through the next several corners (I felt he needed to experience something called 'boost'). |

I haven't really had any of these experiences in my one month of ownership so far, though I did see a few like middle school kids get off a bus and start pointing at my car once.
Other than that, the only other thing I've noticed is that people seem to think the car was MUCH more expensive than it actually cost. To the point where I find myself interjecting into the conversation with, "Yeah, it's not nearly as expensive as it looks," and then drawing a comparison to a common car to give them a benchmark, at which point they go, "Ohhhhh!" Otherwise I feel like people think I've spent WAY too much money on it, and that I've got tons of money or something. I suppose it's cool that to the uninitiated it looks way more upscale than it actually is, lol. |

At work I regularly have people approach me and ask me about it.
A lot of them are people I don't usually speak to, so it's nice. my car is lowered with wheels, brakes, and exhaust being the visual differences. Many people don't know anything about "our cars" and they think mine is super fast. |
