I too would be on the list of not purchasing this car again. And its not becuase i think the car is junk.
I love it, do not get me wrong. But its not going to go through many refreshes like a mustang will. People will buy another mustang because in 5 years it will be a "new" upgraded mustang. The FRS will be much like it sat in 2013, no real reason to go get a 2018 version. The data is highly subjective. |

Comparing to the mustang isn't really a good comparison IMHO. Many people who buy mustangs know that is what they want 100% before purchasing. Even if it has issues they may still overlook them because it's a mustang. This car is different being new and not truly having any heritage to fall back on. People don't buy it for exactly the same reasons, and many of its buyers get bored and switch platforms every few years anyway even if they liked it just for something different.
I think If all mustangs were 4 cylinder those repeat buyer numbers would drop too. |

People still read consumer reports lol
"Would I buy the FRS again?" No. "If I could go back in time would I buy the FRS?" Probably not. Don't get me wrong the car is nice and all. I won't beat the dead horse about the wimpy engine, but I will say the car sounds underwhelming most of the time. From the inside it sounds like a loud blender, from the outside it sounds alright (that's even after the TRD exhaust I installed). But it didn't get my juices flowing like my previous 350Z, RX8, or even my 335i. Again the FRS isn't a bad car at all. It makes for a great daily driver. Very reliable and relatively fuel efficient. For my next car the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and BMW M2 are on my radar. |

I probably would of got back into an fa5 again. Such a great car, literally kind of the same feeling i got driving the frs. Just more room and front wheel drive obviously. I'm glad i got the frs though. Its been and will continue to be an absolute joy to drive. As long as this car doesnt get stolen from me like the fa5 this will probably be a car I hang onto for years.
Also those new miata's are sick, would certainly consider one of those if the worst would happen to frs, or just pick up another fa5.. haha

After a year of owning my FR-S, I sold it and bought a BRZ. Does that count?
Given the chance though, knowing what I know now, I'd probably get a Cayman S instead.
