Misaligned Hood Help?

Short story: Had to swerve to miss a car that pulled out in front of me and of course the turning lane I turned into had an island that I proceed to run basically straight into. I pulled over and really noticed no damage other than my wheel was misaligned. I took my car in and got an alignment, and was told there seemed to be no other damage. The problem is now my hood is popped up slightly? I can push it down a little and it is definitely latched down. Do you think somehow my hood latch mechanism got damaged? Any info would be appreciated how I could get this realigned. I can't see any crease in my hood and it doesn't appear to be bent in anyway. I must of hit my bumper fairly hard no the curb but it also seems fine. I tried loosening the bolts to see if the hood just needed to realign itself but nothing.I can push the hood down and it seems to line up, but that is only because there is a rubber stopper that keeps the latch from smashing down. I thought about taking that out but then assumed my hood would rattle up and down.

Yes...I'll wash my car.

Ok, that's a lot of information, and I am having difficulty making sense of it. So here's a couple of questions:

1. Can you open and close the hood?

2. When you pull the hood lever in the car, does the hood pop up a bit more, or stay where it is?

3. Can you take a picture with the hood pushed down? Do both front corners go down , or just the center?

4. Can you take a picture with of the latch with the hood up?

This will help us help you.

Open and close the hood just like normal no issues.

When I pull the hood release it does pop up a bit more seemingly like normal.

I’ll get a picture of the latch tomorrow. When I push down the middle though the sides seem to line back up like they should.

I would like to think it has something to do with the hood latch or the parts that go along with it. It must have bent or propped up a little higher? Definitely get pictures of what it looks like opened up.

Yeah, definitely seems like the latch got pushed upwards at least. The good news is that the latch height is somewhat adjustable if there isn't any structural damage.

The latch is mounted to a vertical support that bolts to the lower part of the car, and passes up between the fans and mounts to a removable horizontal brace on top. I wouldn't be surprised that the upper brace is bent since the top of the bumper cover is bolted to it.

Is this horizontal brace replaceable?

Yes it bolts in place. Open the hood and take a picture so we can compare to see if it’s off.

All looks normal that I can see.

You may try adjusting the latch like others suggested or seeing if the hook on the hood is bent.
