put BRZ springs on FRS, w/blistein

I would like to keep the current ride height of my '14 FRS, dial out the rear oversteer, and put on some shocks that would last for a long time, Blistein B6.

So I was thinking about swapping out the FRS springs with '13/'14 BRZ springs. As I recall, the only difference between the '13/'14 FRS and BRZ suspensions was just the springs.

Would this work? Anything else I need from donor Subaru besides the springs?

Nope. You should be good to go if you get the springs.

You could also use an adjustable sway bar to accomplish the same thing, as opposed to swapping out the springs.

You could also swap just one end of springs to see if you like that balance better.

The BRZ has softer rear AND stiffer front springs. IMO, swap just the fronts first.

That said, if you're getting throttle oversteer mid corner the springs aren't going to help, you need to adjust your throttle application.

And/or get a tune that maps the throttle better.

Is that a common complaint? I have zero complaints about the throttle pedal "feel", but a friend drove my car and was saying he has a REALLY hard time modulating mid throttle without getting way more throttle than he wanted. He is used to driving his ~450-500whp STI race car, so he's not inexperienced at all, but is used to a very different engine (~8.5:1 CR, pretty big turbo, etc).

Most tunes I've read about remap the throttle to make it more linear. But I didn't find it hard to drive either, it's just easier now.

BRZ front and FRS rear springs is mildly understeering without being too sensitive to throttle input mid-corner compared to the factory FRS setup, I've found. Good setup for people with slower reaction to the rear stepping out like myself. You'll probably need extra front negative camber to go with it as well.

Alternatively you can add a front sway such as the perrin 19mm. I happen to have new one for sale if you want to go that route.

I tried that. They're too stiff for my DD, but the B6's need a firmer spring then the FR-S front's, or the BRZ rear's. I would also suggest just upgrading the front springs with BRZ front's and lower the air pressure in your tires, because you will be leaving rubber on the road. I can break loose the front or the rear tires, the front when I'm slowing down and turning, and the rear when I'm speeding up and turning. I sold mine because they were just too firm for the stock springs. Other members love them with aftermarket lowering springs.
