Is it because of overtime rules?
I've been on salary for over 10 years.

I am salary too. I usually work at least 50/week since I can't get my normal duties done during work hours since I get bugged all the time. Like right now I am in between phone calls since our service manager is gone, so all his calls get directed towards me. We fired our parts manager in Dec so I check up on that department to make sure they are on task. The guy we are grooming to run the spring/fab shop is also a full time student so I am checking on his guys to see if they are working on the correct orders or have any questions. And our sales manager left for a seminar so I am answering technical questions his department has on outstanding orders.

I am the tech-question-guy at my office. So any tech questions that are product related: I get those calls. Customer: I want your product to be more powerful, lighter weight, and cost less. Also, can you add a dozen features. Me: Ummmm.

Well this week I learned that the folks on reddit really get butthurt quite easily. Since the forum has been down so often I've been so bored as to resort to a 86/subreddit the past week or so. I think I'm a pretty nice guy and I didn't say anything mean, just a little snarky about this questionable cosmetic interior mod and got a buttload of downvotes. I think reddit is mainly full of a younger audience that is just more sensitive than I anticipated. I hope ft86club stays up for a while, I don't need reddit folks chasing me with pitch forks.

You should, It is fun, but the type of questions being asked and dumb posts make the typical ft86club post look evolved. Most of those kids on that subreddit don't even know about this forum and are asking very basic questions and get very butthurt if you get snarky or have a 'negative' comment. They just want to hear only positivity and are pretty sensitive lot, but when ft86club is down, not many twin forum options that are super active. |
