With the turbo on, is there room for the stock underbody panels, especially the metal tray?

Also how about battery relocation so the intake can sit where the battery currently is, build a box and actually use the fake side vents, retrofit them and make them functional?

Move the battery to the back, turn the intake pipe 180 degrees, and box in the area. You can draw air from the fender, or from the back of the hood (high pressure area) if you trim back the weather strip. More aggressive people could cut the fender behind the fake "vent" and turn it into a real intake.

:happy0180:

I was also thinking for a sleeper look mounting the stock airbox over the ic piping by cutting the bottom out and wrapping it around and also mounting a fake battery shell that is empty and having the air filter inside of that, the remaining chrome ic pipe could be powdercoated flat black....Just an idea for the cali guys who need to pass inspection....

Great looking turbo kit!

Hi Don, just a few questions.

What are your observations concerning MPG? Obviously this isn't a huge factor for me, but I'd be nice to know the impact. Also how much wieght does the kit add to the front (rough number is ok).

I weighed the IC before but I can't recall off the top of my head. Something tells me it was like 13lbs.

I had done a bit of a highway road trip over the weekend to see what the mileage was. I filled it up. Drove 125miles round trip and filled it up again.

Took 4.3 Gallons to get the clicker off. Now I can't exactly say that I was on the boost much, but I didn't try and avoid it.

Sooo if I did the math correctly you are getting around 29mpg with average driving?

If i got that right that is damn good.

California is by far the worst place for a car enthusiast to live, it really is terrible here.
