nitrous?
Anyone running nitrous on their car? Anyone been running nitrous long term? Anyone know what the best kit and largest shot the car can take on the stock fuel system is? Anyone know a shop in or near southern california that could tune a nitrous frs well?

My experience, most quality built nitrous kits end up costing as much as a pnp blower or turbo kit. You can half ass a TB fogger kit but port injection is kinda the way to go.
But I have not tried n2o on this car, seems like a small 30-50 shot would wake up an n/a built car pretty well. |

To follow up on this, he got decent gains but didn't have the proper fail safes built in. His clutch slipped and he hit redline while still spraying, which is why he blew it up.

Really nitrous is just like boost. With a properly build kit it will work just fine. Get to greedy with it and you'll probably pay the price.
If I could find a local refill station I would be tempted to play with, the chemistry side of it intrigues me.

I remember coming across nitro for the twins. It was around $800 and it let you choose how much hp you wanted to boost. It went from 25 hp to maximum of 100 hp.

If you just wanted to do a 25 shot, you probably wouldn't need much. If I was going to bother, I'd want at least 100, and I wouldn't do that without lots of fail safes.

Yeah Nitrous Express makes a plate kit, takes care of a lot of the install. More fail safes can be added on top.

He didn't have a half assed setup... his clutch gave out and created valve float. That has nothing to do with the nitrous setup. You can recreate the same thing by loading your drivetrain heavily and then stomping on the clutch releasing the load from the motor. Something will most likely give...
