Yeah you're probably right. Just don't understand the point of "babying" the engine and never letting it go above 5k. Not only is he missing out on a lot of fun, but it's not good to baby it and never redline it.

Builds up deposits on the valves if you don't stretch out the cars legs once in a while.

Corny and quirky is what makes car shows great. Lol. If I want serious and factual, I'd watch a David Attenborough documentary (I actually enjoy his documentaries).

Ah yes, so many botched stereo, HID, "race inspired cosmetic enhancements", CAI and exhaust installs... good times... Then came adult life, working a real job and responsibilities... |

At least they take the cars to the drag strip or a local track or an empty lot to mess around with 'em once or twice before they buy a new one. They'd be brilliant imo if they took the performance side of it seriously, but they'd probably be a lot less fun to watch. I guess what I really want is a Grassroots Motorsports Edd China paired with a driver like Guy Martin trying to build a Spec Miata or something. |

Yeah they're pretty great, they go more in depth technically than most, it's almost always logical what they're putting on a car, no lying through their teeth about how great brand X slotted rotors are and typically they make pretty intelligent decisions when building their cars and can put a decent lap on display with some intelligent feedback. I liked when they covered the Ontario 1500 in the FRS, kind of like the One Lap of America competition, if anyone hasn't seen it they should check it out.

Taken from the Enkei wheels FB page. I'd daily drive it.

I like watching car builds, but especially love ones that focus on fabrication. I'm a huge fan of Bad Obsessions Project Binky, even if it takes months to get a new episode. B is for Build is kind of a fun one too, mostly because I find it refreshingly honest about how he is just taking a stab at it and all the failures and little victories that come with it. Recently, I've been watching a lot of metalshaper, quite mesmerizing seeing all that metal work just for a jeep restoration. Last edited by BigFatFlip; 10-24-2017 at 11:41 AM. |
