That many miles with that many track days i'd personally be leaning in between SS1's or T2's or SS2's. I guess it comes down to what type of roads you are dealing with and how much comfort vs. performance you are willing to compromise on. Lots of fast guys happy with SS1's. I have T2's and drove them a lot on the street. They were not brutal, and far better then some cheap coilovers that cars had that I have ridden in. I am sure my driving, I wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference between SS1's and T2's if I didn't have a bunch of aero. I have Annex CSP's on the car now and am getting my T2's rebuilt. After that I plan on swapping them a couple times next year to decide what I prefer.

There are lots of good threads on the SS1's and T2's if that helps you out. Here are a few.

We ran the original Ohlins on our 1st gen shop car years ago and put a lot of miles on them. We liked the valving overall quite a bit but weren't happy with some of the other details like the endlink mounting tab (mentioned above) and the camber plates (which are thankfully optionally now). They also had a more limited height adjustment range than most other coilovers. That wasn't a huge problem for us though.

It would be good to get more information about you and your car, like tire choice, other mods, and so on.

What was the issue with camber plates?

They used to be just very basic generic camber plates, so a taller stack height (which limited height adjustment) and the spherical bearing wasn't the best. I can't speak to what they're using now since they've made so many changes over the years.

Looks as though these are for all gens, making them even more generic.

Thanks. I think the plates are pretty much the same even now. Sorry I don't know much about camber plates, I understood stack height limits drop, what does spherical bearings do?

The spherical bearing in the camber plate is basically the connection point that is supposed to be able to pivot and twist. A higher quality bearing will last longer and be quieter.
