The fit and finish look a lot better in this video than in the release presentation. Then it looked like a bunch of hacked together sheet metal, but this looks better. Still, the general look of the vehicle is subjective, but considering the volume they will be pushing out the doors, being unique is probably a smarter strategy.

True. It is very geometric--intentionally.

funny how everyone is talking about ford chasing the jeep market, but everything about this hummer looks like GM is silently chasing them as well. just no one is talking about it that way.

Really nice truck from GM. 1000 ho, crab walk, air suspension, supercruise, a flagship vehicle.

Let’s be honest. The Cybertruck is very loosely a truck just as this, and the original Hummer, are loosely an off-road vehicle. The tough, stainless steel skin and basic utility features are at best some gimmick to add some utility to the design, which is made to look like something from the 80’s Blade Runner. Why? Because Musk wanted something different and something different will likely sell to an audience wanting something different. Most of these vehicles will ride around cities on dubs like most trucks from premium brands. Nevertheless, this is a good product GM has designed, and it is wise using a premium brand like HUMMER to develop, showcase and premiere a modern, futuristic, EV truck, and move beyond an EV built on an ICE chassis—the Chevy Bolt.

That low spec matches the CyberTruck. Personally I think this is a better deal than the high spec CyberTruck.

I thought the Hummer EV (which has always been a premium vehicle) was going to start at 100K and not 71K (although you have to wait for the cheaper version).

The GM Hummer has always been GMC and it is their "premium" truck brand so wasn't really surprised. New innovations always appear there first, or in the Escalade.

Frankly, this is the first EV that has tempted me. If the low spec was available next year, I'd put a deposit down. Unfortunately, the high spec is more than I'm willing to pay for vehicle, and I'll need a replacement before the low spec is available.

Probably because the HUMMER is much higher in class. It would be like someone saying, “funny how everyone is talking about ford chasing the jeep market, but everything about this G-Wagon looks like Mercedes is silently chasing them as well. just no one is talking about it that way.”

This is a flagship vehicle were they go all-in with techs. Rear axle steering, air suspension, biggest and baddass motor and battery pack, supercruise and everything. It is not meant for high volume.

From there, for sure it will spawn other EVs, they grabbed the attention, now it will be the time to make the money.

And now I understood why Honda will be buying GM EV platform, this seems to be very competitive to Tesla’s platform. 10 minutes for 100 miles (in very special condition) is great.

Yea, the "everyman" version of this will eventually be the Silverado EV I suspect.

When you compare it to what most other EV's cost 112K is not too bad. I was expecting far more expensive then that.
