Tracking with ABS fuse removed?

Me and a bud are considering this for next time trial event. Rules for classification give -1 point for disabling factory ABS, equivalent to -42 lb. IMO it's a stupid rule but thinking of taking advantage! He has a 2013 BRZ, mine is 2017 PP. Both have the same two ABS fuses. FWIW I ran without ABS (bad sensor) in my '01 S2000 for years and never had any problems. Only concern here is if brake bias without ABS is overly rearward...

What do the experts say?!

Practice without it for a while first. It's not the same car to car.
Did you do HPDE with no abs in your s2000?

Yup, trying it should be straightforward enough. Would be nice to know what to expect in advance though, particularly if something simple like staggered pads might be required if there's too much rear bias without ABS. That's what some said about the S2k though and I had no problems with it at the track or on the street, even in the snow.

I don't see in what way, if any, this is a good idea.

Intentionally removing ABS is asking for flat spotted tires, an off, something. Find somewhere else to remove an equivalent of -42 lbs.

I know while I don't intend to hit ABS, it happens, and it saves from a lockup. It's honestly such a bad idea...of all places to save -42 lbs this is the last place, IMO.

But, you do you

Don't worry, I will! I been doing myself for decades! I've also tracked plenty of cars without ABS and have recovered from lockups without major flatspots countless times.

Purpose isnt to save 42 lb. but rather to allow me fren to run in my TT class. But if it works out ok I might get a 5-lb Li battery to take advantage of admittedly dumb rule that rewards this...

There's no need to learn that with abs.

I've had abs intervene and ruin a lap when I had things under control.
