Changed to winter tires this weekend. This might be the first Kormetal rims ever put on a BRZ. They are 16 inch and not expensive. I'm waiting for the snow now
The blue in the middle of the rims is the protecting film, and has been removed now.. Yesterday, I had a trip with my mother. She had been on my car before and didn't say anything about the car. I've just removed the foam from the sound tube, and now it sounds better, I think. Anyway, while she was telling me about things, I've put it to manual mode and drove around 4000-5000 rpm. She stopped and said, "something is wrong with this car?" I said "why?" she replied, "I feel like I'm sitting on the engine instead of the seats." Then I've returned to D gear, and everything is back to normal again I love this car.. |

Mmmmmm....442 vert. Seems there are a few of us with old muscle and new fun.
As for my BRZ, it got a fresh fill of Amzoil Signature 0-20 today. |

Nothing..I didn't do anything today with my poor brz because of what I did yesterday. I rolled it 3 times. This will likely be my last post unless I can find a cheap totaled brz to restore...they wouldn't let me take it back.

I haven't bought tire pressure sensors for the winter tires, they were very expensive. So I have the tire pressure light on all the time.
I've noticed that the traction control has been activated very early and too often (in the default, no-sport mode). Winter tires have much better grip than the stock tires; however I haven't noticed this issue with the stock tires. Could this be related to lack of tire pressure sensors? |

Installed a Raceseng Apex R shifter. I don't know why I did this at the beginning of winter. It is so cold.

New 200mm Kenwood head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - no need for the phone dash mount anymore. Plus new dual USB ports, Raceseng aluminum R-lock and the Canadian one-piece dash trim. Yes, the buttons are on the right for RHD vehicles, but I don't mind. Not a bad trade-off considering all the features. So much cleaner.

Kenwood looks good and if you like it better than that's money well spent for you. However, I fail to see why you'd change when the stock unit does the same thing. |
