The Carolina treet tastes funny out of the bottle, but good cooked on chicken. I did a low and slow on The rotisserie, basting every 20 minutes for a couple hours.

It needs to be marinated to get into the meat more. That might be expensive with a whole chicken.

Yeah, I’ll def be test driving one as well... just won’t be having high expectations.

Lets look it this way. If they did put FA24 engine into next gen. You can bet, redline will be dropping to 6k or somewhere lower 6k. Even w snail, they can’t keep rpm up... & sadly EJ have proven that point along w Ascent. More sad part is, Toyota can’t help much on this part. It’s the simple boxer engine design. Yamaha helped a bit to put a bit more from FA20 to get it pushed up pass 7k, but even then, it just don’t have much power after 6,500rpm.

Now for the weight, FA20 isn’t light... if you compared w other 2L engines. iirc FA20 was somewhere in 400lbs vs F20 is low 300lbs. My guesstimate of FA24 weight is extra 60~80lbs. That doesn’t help w weight distribution.

Trans, they’re not using the same... well at least not a wise idea to use the same one. Just an issue they have is, they don’t have next tran up is the budget pricing... this is why highly likely AT only might happen (still rumored).

There are several other stuff I can talk bout... but don’t wanna go into it, cuz it’ll become huge ass article/write up. lol

Atm only time will tell if Toyota/Subaru gonna axe this project or not.

Cuz they have more surprises to break all the hopes & dreams into millions of pieces and throw em into the gutter.

BUT! But... recent info I’ve attained of next gen wasn’t a bad news... but who knows if it’s true or not. If they do it, great. If not, o’well. I’m still hunting down few info, but due to covid, can’t get shit.

it's always been that way. people first want a sub-$30k sports car. it gets built, but then they do nothing but complain because it doesn't have $80k power levels and refinement.

if tcoat's predictive information proves accurate over the long term, which i see no reason it won't right now, the next gen is going to get shelved. especially if they've still got to work out the transmission like you're saying.

just everyone, PLEASE stop calling this the new normal. it's been less than 2 months. that's not a normal, that's a molehill.

I LOVE mine. It's aging beautifully. I'm mildly curious about the new one but not in the market.

Me too. I'm pretty happy with the car overall. I just wish the dash was a little lower so I could see over it a little more easily.
