Oil Temp Gauge Pod?

I've heard about Boost gauges being off due to being calibrated at 1000ft elevation. Would gauges for Oil Temp have any way to be off?
Looking at the ProSport Evo ones, more specifically.

I ran some prosport gauges back in my DSM days. They were great gauges for the price. They probably aren't as accurate as, say, DEFI gauges, but i have never had any issues with them. I ran prosport oilt temp and oil pressure.

Would you say I can trust them more these days around? I hear some mixed reviews previous to 2009, but hearing they're a bit better now.

Well, fwiw, I ran them back in 2006ish, and didn't have any issues with them. It was my first and only experience with them, so I don't really have anything to compare my experiences too. I also had AEM and defi gauges and frankly, they all measured accurate enough for me.

Anyone have any idea if the gauges can simply be tapped into some place to get the information or would it need more complicated wiring/hooking up?
