I had a few 44’s on the timer displays when I came off course, but live times and final postings have me at 45’s. Ken Mays didn’t show up, so I was first and last in DS, so not as upset about my times being slightly off. Sucks for you guys and sounds like a repeat of last year’s timing fiasco. Hope it gets better at the next Mirrorcross. They are a helluva lotta fun!

The timer and announced times didn't include the reaction times, so you have to add a minimum 0.500s (That's a prefect light) to get your total time.

Then mine look accurate. Best I had was 45.056 with .617 reaction time. I’m good with that after the “most excellent instruction” I received from my passenger on the early runs - “go, smooth turn, give it up, keep it tight, give it up, go go” - thanks Slater!

Not a problem Brian! You’re improving! Now you just gotta turn up the aggression and find that last percent without going over.

We had a super strong twin showing today at the SCCA#2 at Lone Star Park congrats to all the winners. I managed 4th in STX only 0.090s from David <shneegle> in second place and 0.242s from Brandon <bslate> in first (1-7 were separated by 1s).

Here's my laps:

Thanks to everybody who helped a newb like me. Definitely everyone should try autocross if they never have. Its harder and more fun than it looks. Should have tried it before when my car was less modded.

Here’s my video of my best run from the Texas SCCA autocross. It was one heck of a battle as usual! See y’all again at Lonestar Park for the Equipe Rapide event.

Time to revive this thread! There’s an Equipe Rapide autocross school this Saturday followed by a Mirrorcross on Sunday both at Mineral Wells.

Then June 1st-3rd is the SCCA Pro Solo at Mineral Wells. It’s a super fun event that’s just like the ER Mirrorcross but turned up to 11! There’s lots of great competition and some really cool cars that you don’t normally see at local events. Plus free food and beer Friday night and Saturday night. Also the Austin Spokes autocross group will have their big wheel pro solo style course set up that’s a hoot to try out.

Just for some piece of mind, after seeing a friend of mine car catch on fire yesterday at the track.

I hope to be able to make it to this one. NTAXS autocross events are a lot of fun.
