I signed up for the Saturday club trials, but can't do the whole weekend - my son's varsity football banquet is Sunday. I noticed this is the same weekend as the NTAXS winter autocross at Mineral Wells. If I'm going to drive an hour and a half to race, I'd rather have 6 20-minute sessions instead of 8 1-minute sessions. Looking forward to racing in the club trials next year, moving up from PDX this year.

I think Miles and I will be doing the Saturday part of it. But also having autox on Sunday could play into that a little.

I’m really tempted to do the club trials. I need new brakes first. We’ll see what I can up with by then.

ER posted their banquet info and registration for Saturday, 01/20. I won稚 be able to make it that night (have a concert already scheduled), so was wondering if one of you guys could pick up my trophy and I値l get it at the fluid swap. I知 also going to miss the first ER autocross in Feb. (on a ski trip) or I would have picked it up then.

Great news, the dealership had no idea where the ball bearing was from so they're replacing my transmission under warranty.
Now I have to decide if I want to put in a new clutch since the labor is both free and going to be done by someone else. |

A little late I would imagine but I would say YES have them replace clutch/pressure plate and TOB. Or at the very least the TOB. There is a redesigned one that is supposed to be better about standing up to the heat.

Everything I got are the Exedy OEM replacement stuff, so it is all STX legal. I don't plan on adding any power and the stock clutch never gave me issues, so an upgraded clutch wasn't really needed anyway. I'll keep the old stuff and use them for spares, they are probably in pretty good shape (we'll see). I'm only at 35k miles but I do have a shit ton of events. My parts come in Monday and everything will be done before the end of next week, so I still plan on doing the Club Trials next weekend. I just hope that everything is done and it doesn't rain. |
