Anyone venture to guess what happened to my modded tails?

Blacked housing mod i did here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85630
Looked like it was clear lens when i installed it

But a few days later in the Socal Sun, this happened.

it happened on the other tail light as well and in the same circular fashion. it looks like scratches but i opened the passenger side tail light and it didnt exactly feel like scratches.

i'm not sure what happened here. and not sure why they both have the same circular patterns in the same locations.

Any ideas?

Did you put them in the oven to open them?

Is it deep in the housing? I'm guessing the heat from the circle lights of the tail lights itself burned into the housing due to chemicals from the mod or idk I'm just saying random shit but yeah. The circle shape could've been from the light and heat.

did not bake these at all. i used a solder with a copper tip to open these up. then sealed it up with 3M Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer.

looks like chemical vapor form the window weld. I know when I've used some types of glue similar to super glue it will leave a white haze on plastic near it

after painting the taillights, you should cure them by putting the painted tails in the oven at low heat for about 30 min. This prevents any smoke inside the lens created by the heat.

Vapors from paint or glue reacting with the plastic.

I'm betting it's vapor from your glue or paint that attached to the housing
