3rd Annual Texas FT86 Day Meet/Cruise

@Extreme86 and I have been going back and forth with planning a recon run for 8/2/15 (Sunday) we plan to meet in Medina at 9AM on Sunday and hopefully meet with a good amount of the leaders so we can get a game plan going for the real event on 8/8/15.

Anyone is welcome to join us. This is mostly just to make sure that we are set for the real meet.

If your in the DFW area and want to go I plan to leave around noon on Saturday (8/1/15) after Cars & Coffee. Getting to SA at around 6:30-7pm and hopefully meet some other members for some grub.

PM me if your in the DFW area and want to go at the time above. This is mainly aimed at Leaders. Anyone in SA or Austin that can't make it on 8/8/15.

@Shneegle - @MoebiusStrip suggested we have a meet and greet at the Forum in Northeast San Antonio this Saturday evening, 8/1/15, near the Sea Island and Red Robin restaurants around 7PM and I concur. MAP Link. Either one of those restaurants serve up pretty good food. All SATX & Austin area 86's invited to grub out with us and then we'll hang out in the parking lot afterwards. Look for a group of 86s to park next to near those restaurants. If there is limited parking in the immediate restaurant area we might park across the street or just re-group after eating.

Also, we are good to go for a Sunday morning meet-up, 8/2/15, 9AM at the Apple Store in Medina, TX. At about 9:30 or so we'll roll out towards Leakey for a Twisted Sisters recon run. For sure, everyone in the area is invited to join us and for anyone that can't make the big event on 8/8, this would be a great alternative to have some fun!

This year we're going to have our pre-run meet up Friday 8/07 at the Toyota of Boerne dealership! Manager there is making room for us to meet up and shoot some photos. I will have T-shirts there so if you want to pick yours up before the run, you can! Afterwards we can move to one of the nearby restaurants for refreshments and grub.

We will be meeting around 6:00PM

Unfortunately I must work. Last year's meet was the bomb diggity. I think its gonna be shallow numbers from the Austin crew this year around as a lot of us are out of town/working :'(

Had a great time on the Ranch Roads today with @rlybigBOB, @TEWwild, @Shneegle and @Zubit! Thanks to TEWwild for a leading really fast run! Traffic was light, had only a couple of slowdowns, a few spots with some rocks/debris on the road - most caused by the grass cutting mowers working the area. Constable radars were active both sides of Medina on the return trip in the afternoon. Be careful on your way to Medina!

Cars were awesome on the twists. We will leave it up to the team leaders to decide whether they take their group on either a clockwise or counter clockwise run.

Both the Apple Store and Bent Rim Grill are expecting us this next Saturday! Owner of the Bent Rim suggested the fast lunch special if there is big crowd next week. 0 wait time as opposed to ordering a burger. The Apple Store will be open at 8:00 am and will have coffee, other beverages, pastries and their famous apple ice cream available for purchase.

It was an awesome prerun. I have notes that ill be putting in digital form for how far it is to each turn and where to go for those that may get lost or just like to know.

I will say that I will be taking it easy on Saturday when we get to the roller coaster area as I gave my exhaust a good bashing today. I will have to put some work into correcting it as it is currently melting a hanger.

It looks like my son and I will be able to attend after all. I did this run solo the first time and looking forward to it again.

Can't believe you're taking 35 down though. We do 281 or whatever that "backroad" is.
