This will make you good for temps over 300 degrees and pressures up to 6000psi. It's over kill but better to have to much than to little.
We are talking here about the Direct Injectors, there are no aftermarket direct injectors. The aftermarket injectors people swap out are the Port Injectors.

If it were the Port Injectors, this would not be a big deal, since they are extremely easy to replace and are very common. The issue here is the DI are harder to reach and different than the regular injectors we see on every car, so the install procedure is different too.

Thanks, in the meantime, can you confirm the above post are the steps things happened if you remember? Or if you can provide more details? Again just trying to figure out if I have the problem before using the car again.

no. i was running AFR 11.2 at 7 psi. i was perfect

2) got the fuel pump install sorted out

we increase the psi to 12 and than the fuel pump was by passing the tank, so we remove the pump and the pump waas loose, it wasnt installed correctly

3) still was running lean?

My mistake I thought it was the port injectors.

That's interesting. I had a million issues with Fuel Pump install. The last one was running lean at higher RPM's. BUT, I removed the Fuel Pump, installed with two extra O rings about 3 weeks ago, and since then have had zero issues. I have been staying at 11's to 12's AFR WOT at high RPM's

Just found this info online

Quote:
What does that mean?

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.

Note: This DTC is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.

Symptoms

You will more than likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a lack of power, detonation (spark knock), and/or a hesitation/surge on acceleration.

Causes

A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters (K&N, etc.) can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
Possible Solutions

Possible solutions include:

In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure

I'm sorry, I brainfarted. One thing does not have to do with the other. What I was trying to say is that if your Gauge is also showing lean, you could rule out your O2 sensor being bad.

You said you did not go into boost, so that means you guys kept the wastegate open as to not build boost when trying to see if you were going lean?

I was throwing a P219A (Bank 1 A/F Ratio Imbalance) on an A00C ROM but no CEL or power loss. Stock fuel pump and injectors. No issues at all on another A01C ROM so I perhaps it had to do with a different problem specific with the A00Cs?

Haven't seen any codes for a long time so I'm guessing I won't start worrying till I see more. This sort of stuff has me eternally vigilant.

Edit: OH, I did throw a P0301 variant during my VVTI assembly failure event during a massive idle stall/shudder. Haven't seen it since those issues cleared, but again, eternal vigilance will be the key. The CEL/SL position on the dash is in my peripheral vision at all times.

Now I want to check the plugs..

i just notice that one side of my MBC is loose no zip tie or clamp.

could this be the problem?

it says that it can be a vacuum leak
