I'm glad this car will not have the unequal header sound. I really hate it.

Sorry Subaru/boxer fans, I do. I remember when I blew the motor on my Supra and it was running on 4 cylinders, it sounded just like a Subaru.

I would have been able to tolerate the sound with a stock exhaust since it's not so pronounced but I would never have an aftermarket exhaust on mine with unequal headers.

Don't hate me...

Side note, I wonder how much of SF and, specifically, SFOT is going to be coming over?

Anyway, welcome, Joe.

I'm with Joe on this one, I really don't see what the deal is with the Subie UEL craze....

On ALL N/A Hondas, UEL headers have been dyno proven, on all setups, to provide inferior power to that of a true equal length header.

All of the research I did on turbo manifolds (also for Honda applications only) have shown the same results... EL > UEL. In terms of peak HP.

So, why do so many people love an INFERIOR design?

If I am incorrect on any of this, please feel free to educate me, otherwise I stand behind my reasoning.

On Subaru's, at least, they are definitively inferior but not significantly. We love the sound enough that the extra little bit of power isn't worth it.

Yeah data is proven that ELH > UELH... but sadly, current after market header for NA engine, there's only two company still make it: Borla & OBX. Out of those two, most people choose Borla instead (or Borla Rep from eBay).

+1 cant get enough of that boxer rumble.:happy0180:
i think it really depends on the displacement of the engine. i hear tuners tell ej20 owners to stay away from ELH. you lose more TQ but gain better topend. to me i'd rather have more TQ and mid range anyday.
