Unhappy Play in steering rack

I assumed I needed to replace a tie rod, but I get in there and the steering column clearly has about 10-15 degrees of play.

It happens across the entire rack. Always takes a bit of a turn to "hook up" when turning the other way.

Is this adjustable or am I looking at replacing the rack?

Looks like play between the pinion gear and the rack gear.
@Ultramaroon is right as usual, time to replace.

Plus that level of corrosion would have me worried.

But to replace you are looking at like $700 in just parts so maybe just keep driving it until it feels not normal?

Yeah. Corrosion's no sweat. I get that.

Rebuilt ones are available. I wouldn't mess around.
