The "Crickets" only come from gas with Ethenol. I've had the part replaced only to come back after 300miles (again). To me the sound is super annoying, but as long as you use Ethenol free gas you will never get them. Look on this site http://pure-gas.org/ for pure gas around your area.. I have 3 that I fill up mine.

You can thank the idiots in Washington and the environment wackos for the sound we get! Corn is meant to eat, not make gas hehe

The chirping seems to be intermittent between vehicles. I have it but hardly ever notice it because it's a very low chirp.

I owned a 2006 Mazda 3 and now own a BRZ, and let me tell you, the twins are a superior car in just about every way.
