UOA result/question (FA24 w/ track use)

My car was at about 6k miles when I took this sample after the last track event of the season (it's a DD, but super short commute). 1875 miles over about 6 mos, roughly 3 hrs total of track use (kart track lapping, 4 hot laps per session, .9mi track). Oil used was 5w30 300V. I'm concerned about high aluminum (12) and iron (11) on this first UOA I had done by blackstone.

Would I be better off switching to 5w-40, replacing oil/filter every 3 mos/3 track days, or both? Or maybe my car has such low miles it's not broken in yet and this is normal?

I'll plan to look for some advice on that oil forum as well.

A single point of reference especially without posting the entire UOA is kind of pointless.
But those do seem super high. Too bad you didn't also do a non track UOA.
and by 6K the car is more than broken in.

Post the entire UOA and that also includes what Blackstone said about the numbers.
I wouldn't even start recommendations without that info as a minimum.

Thanks for letting us know about track use being a factor. Aluminum is more than twice average and iron could also be considered high for mileage on the oil, but harder use and maybe also lingering wear-in could explain these results. We certainly wouldn't rush to assume a problem in this low-mileage engine - rather, just try an oil change soon and check back in about 2,000 miles for a good comparison. For reference, averages are based on a 2,900-mile run. The TBN is strong, and no contamination showed up. Moly is just from anti-wear additive in the oil.

Would follow exactly what they said. But Also the 2nd one should be without any track time.

Also post these instead. Should be able to get them of your profile on the site.
