I believe you can reprogram the baseline by setting the pressure to whatever you want and then following the "initialize TPMS" procedure described in the owner's manual:

1. Turn ignition off
2. Set tire pressure to 35 psi (pump/bleed)
3. Turn ignition on
4. Press and hold the TPMS button until the "low tire pressure" light blinks slowly 3 times

After I did this, I only saw low tire pressure warning when my tire pressures go below 28, and they frequently are at 28 at the start of my track day sessions.

Went to dealer for oil change and had them look at tpms sensors. Well since a master tech wasn’t there and they tried resetting them and overwriting software they are still not communicating to each other or the module. So I’m getting a loaner vehicle during a week while the master tech is there and they already made a claim with Subaru.

Update: 12-7-22


The dealership had my car for 2 days total and they said they put a few new tpms sensors in, checked all the wiring/electrical and the control module itself needs replaced due to not communicating with tpms properly. Mind you all my tpms sensors were accurate and working before I took it there to have them see why I got a low pressure light at 34psi which according to people on here is not right. Im guessing when they tried to reprogram/reset it from the initial factory programming it failed.


So they told me to pick it up today (im guessing I have no pressure tire readings and if I get a flat or destroy my wheels thats on them due to a warranty claim) The part is on back order

Does that work for pressures below 28? My cold starting pressures are usually around 25/26 PSI, and this method did not seem to work right for me. I saw the 3 blinks, and it seemed to work for that session. But next time, it was complaining again until tire pressures hit >30 PSI.

I don't know.
I can imagine that "<28 bad " is simply hardcoded in the ECU.

I would ignorantly assume they should know that procedure. They got Subaru America involved and expediting the control module.

I personally have not tried that.

Well just got my car back. After waiting for a month for the part to come in it is finally fixed. They replaced the tpms module and it functions fine. Well I haven’t drove it enough to see where my low tire pressure is at now. But all good.
