Does anyone feel that 9.5 width is too much tire?

I'm on 9.5. It's a bit much. 9 is perfect!! 8.5 is good too. I think it's tested* that 18x8.5 was ideal for stock performance wise.

I have plans to boost the car but yea I dont wanna spend a fortune on wheels and really like the Ambit RT8 wheels but 9.5 is the only width they come in

Thanks to the OP for the chart.

I have a thought... if the front and rear have different offsets to maintain flushness how would the tires be rotated if the tires are directional tires? Or just don't rotate at all?

You rotate only on the axle. So left to right & right to left.

Thanks, I didn't know if that would be an issue but there's no other way to rotate if front and rear offsets are different.

does this look right to anyone? because I've search around this post and saw a few people with 19x8.5 in wheels and their offset is totally different from the calculator like the bright pink ones I saw in the forum.

here's a link to the one but this is a 8.5 not a 9.5 wheel. some let me know if this will work before I buy them delicious rims
www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60001

Don't forget that offset is also going to be different based on the faceplate style of the wheels.
My Königs are 18x8 +35 and poke out a bit in the front, buddy got Enkei Kojins 17x8 +45 and they sit flush despite the fact that the +45 would normally suck them in more than stocks, but they have different face types.

Going to ask my question in here (hope someone see's it) in order to not clutter up the board with another wheel help thread.

Going to be ordering some new tires really soon. Now my question is should I run a staggered or square setup. My front wheel is 8.5 and I will be running a 215 on it. My rear is a 9 and im in debate if I want to run the 215 on it or a 225. I understand having a staggered setup will introduce more understeer, this is just my DD and I some sprinted driving around the mountains near me. Dont really plan on doing autox, maybe 4 times max this year, on that note im not concerned about my times, just more about having fun.

I have everything from the back of the front seats to the trunk gutted. I believe this moved some the weight balance more towards the front of the car so im thinking having the staggered wheels/tires will put some weight back to the rear.
