In the stop and go traffic, I switch to AT and turn on the music while MT drivers are struggling with the clutch and stick shift.
I drive in stop and go city traffic every day with a MT. In fact, most drivers in the world do.

If you are struggling, you are the problem. Not the transmission.

Struggling? Odd.... that is usually a problem with the operator, not the transmission. Every vehicle I own is a stickshift and I drive through traffic everyday just fine.

Every auto owner on a 'sporty' car forum I've ever seen:

BUT ITS SOOOO HAAAAARD TO DRIVE A MT IN TRAFFIC...

Dude, it's cool. Nobody is asking you to make excuses as to why you bought the auto. Buy the auto and enjoy it, that's fine. We don't need to hear about the time your left foot spontaneously amputated from pressing a pedal down in traffic.

hahaha exactly.

every AT guy get so defensive and come up with every reason why its easier to live with an Auto.

imo, AT might be faster or shift quicker, But nothing beat the connection between the driver, 3 pedals and a 6th speed gear box. I dont want the car to do everything for me I want to work for it.

PS: I daily my car 3 hours everyday in stop and go traffic for the past 4 years with a MT, Not a single problem

I know it's easier on that platform tho because largerly it's influenced by previous engineering, like the 5s-fe was pretty similar throughout it's various generations and decades but with upgrades and improvements throughout its lifecycle for power and emission standards.

I didn't realize that the swap on this one was possible with a auto tranny. If I could be so rude to ask for the thread to that one? I do plan on reading it extensively.
People have swapped in the final drive from a MT to the AT to get some of the speed back, I never looked into it but I believe the LSD is the same on both cars and just the final drive is different, I think it'd be possible to swap the AT into the MT...

Quick skimming the first thread and the link inside of it, if you can find an IS300 LSD it sounds perfect for you:

Traffic = that is the #1 reason why I don't want to move to a big city (bigger city). I love my open roads , cars in front of me are just no fun. I'm trying to quantify an actual cost of having to be in traffic for "x" amount of hours per year , versus no traffic (always flowing along in motion).
