When I registered the Lotus and had it "verified" at DMV, the same people where doing the verifications as road tests. I don't think any of them I saw could get into the Lotus, much less out.

I think we will go with the Honda.

My youngest took his driver's test in my FR-S. It was either that or the Suburban. Since he had practiced most of his driving in the Suburban (including parallel parking), the FR-S was a piece of cake.

Can't believe they still make folks parallel park in the test, I don't think I've parallel parked a car in 15 years. Still I suppose it shows some level of skill given how basic driving tests are any more, at least in the areas where I've lived.

It's ok, stick around 6-12 months and we'll see if the same thing happens to the new one.

Only if you leave your finger resting on the button. Wears out the throttle body prematurely.

I have never had any issue with my 14. In fact the steering wheel is the only thing inside that still looks new.

They made many changes to the 17s. It is smaller yet fatter and at least the one I drove was painfully slippery.

I still have not seen the new wheel bring out many "classy" drivers though.

Wut? I parallel park just about daily. Essential skill.

Reminds me of when I first started autox. I would take my blinker and wiper fuses out so I wouldn't looks stupid on the course.

Nope. I still need to know when to push the lever up or down to maintain speed of traffic.

Ahhhhh damnit. Next you will try and tell me that I should take the parking brake off when I drive.

About a 100K of my 120K has been driven with the cruise on.

My '13 wheel started to wear 2 years ago. I just started wearing driving gloves. Keeps my sweaty hands from slipping around on it.

I tried this, but with bicycling gloves. Worked ok, but not great.
