Air conditioner drain tube clog

It’s been awhile since I posted. Usually I can search and find most any answer, but I don’t see too much written about the AC drain tube. Mine is clogged and causing water to overflow into the passenger footwell, sloshing and leaking all over the place. I had this happen once before a few years ago and the dealer fixed it under warranty, telling me the drain tube was clogged with tree debris. They said they cleaned it out and it was good as new. But they didn’t tell me *how* they did that. Can anyone give me pointers? I think the tube is at the footwell and runs down to an exit under the car somewhere. Is there an easy way to take it off and flush it out?

Thanks,
Myriad

To follow up, I’m home from work and tried to pour some water on the cowl by the wiper blades to see where they drain out to. I figured I’d see a hole or tube, but it dribbles out right below the hinges of the doors near the jack points. Is that right? I’m thinking both sides are clogged. Neighbor’s trees drop the messiest crap. Is there a DIY to fix these clogs or do I need a mechanic to figure this out?

Thanks,
Myriad

Never happened to me, but I've heard other fix this by blowing compressed air into the drain tube to unclog it. Might be worth a shot.

I had to do this recently thanks to a spider making a nest in mine. All you have to do is pull back to carpet on the passenger's, remove the tube going from the AC unit to the floor and blow it out with compressed air.

This thread is what I followed.

I second this.

Happened to me a few months back. Blew on the tube and the clog came off. Worked like a charm.

Thanks guys. I took the advice and blew some air through it. The top of the tube under the passenger feet was easier to detach than I thought. It just pops right off with a firm tug. And here I thought I was going to have to disassemble some air conditioner part or do something complicated. Used an air compressor with a blower attachment, and voila—no more sloshing noises or wet feet.
