You must have had

I had buckets of pieces and usually made my own stuff after I got bored with what it told me to build in the directions.

I think my brother had one of the Millennium Falcon builds.

we always built according to instructions exactly once. after that, we'd tear it apart, and all the pieces would go into a big bin, from which our imaginations created anything and everything else.

some of my creations proudly attempted flight out of the second story window. it was a graceful gravity drop.

I have never built anything of any complexity with Legos that survived first attempt to move it.

Legos were just blocks when I was a kid. You could build a wall.

However, I must have spent a small fortune on the kits for my kids. Some pretty cool ones.

You must have had

Today I learned that 'Lego' is mispronounced as 'Legos'.. A bit like Porsche, 'Porsche' or 'Por-sche'.. or 'BRZed' or 'BRZeee'. Or 'GT86' or 'Scion'...

I find it best not to take advice on how to pronounce words from people who add syllables to jaguar and aluminum.
