Join the club! Hell, if I could get the 28.5k I paid for it (Limited, Pearl Blue 6MT, 20k miles - now with JDL UEL headers, OFT, $1,000 stereo upgrade and a few other goodies) - I would too. The new buyer would just have to wait until I take delivery. Any offers : )

The way I read CincyJohn's message, he didn't say grst1 was charged over a sticker.
He was asking if (and if yes, then how much).

I got my order in last week, WR Blue, Limited and the Manual. Current ETA is last week of November. Fingers crossed for no delays, there's a track event on the first week of December. I would pretty much receive the car, probably swap the brake fluid and hopefully get a few break in miles before that event.

For what it's worth, the dealer has said nothing of a markup but I am fully expecting to not be able to negotiate out of paying MSRP.

MSRP, of course would not negotiate down.

I talked to all 3 Subaru dealers in OK, they all said the preorders would be charged MSRP. No more, no less. But that with preorders and likely limited availability, anyone who didn't preorder would likely end up paying ADM.

I decided against a preorder as I have a feeling if I changed my mind, they would make it a PITA to get my $1k back. So I'm just going to wait until next year when availability has recovered and you can negotiate for less than MSRP.

When the Supra was released, it only took about 6 months to find cars advertised under MSRP so dealers could get them off their floorplan.

My fiance and I both work from home and only have one car after I sold my Miata this spring (I had put 900 miles on it in one year), so waiting until next year isn't a big deal for me.

Nice. Is there any R&D plan for yours? I see Xero-limit as tour sponsor.

My local dealer ordered what I wanted, for MSRP, and didn't ask for any kind of deposit. Said that when it comes in, I'll have 48 hours to claim it, or they'll sell it to someone else. I was impressed...

This was after a closer dealer didn't return my call after I mentioned I wouldn't pay any additional dealer markup.
