No one will judge you if you run around the track, acting like you're drifting and making revving sounds...
It will just be more material for my YouTube channel.

People can judge all they want. That just encourages me. I need to figure out a way to make smoke come off of my feet.

**WE'VE GOT 86 NEWS & UPDATES!***

Alright guys/gals! Here's a bit more information for the lucky 60 track drivers and the Gymkhana participants.
For the full track portion, NO helmet will be needed. It will be a lead/follow, no passing. You will run 6 laps consecutively and most likely run more

If you plan on participating in the Gymkhana, a helmet IS needed. If you have your own, then bring it!. They will have loaner helmets available, all that is needed is that you purchase a $3 head sock! Bring spares tires if you got them!
It is highly encouraged that you preregister so that we can get everyone on the track quicker on the day of! At this point only CASH will be accepted at the gate for those who are unsure of their schedules/availability. This is the 86 EVENT you don't want to miss!

Get excited! This is gonna be awesome
What will decide the order for the lead follow track session and will there be an option that allows more experienced drivers to drive separately from novices? A Comfortable, safe, and enjoyable pace will vary drastically based on experience. Who is deciding the pace?

Considering the lack of helmet requirement I would set your expectations for speed low. My take on this is this is meant to get people who would never get out on the track for fear of damaging their cars an experience to get out there, not an incredibly cheap track day for the guys who already go.

That is how I read it as well.

Which is why I'm asking if there will perhaps be different groups (at least 2 maybe, based on experience) as the folks who do track regularly will be able to go faster far more safely. Throwing everyone into one group might end up extremely frustrating for people in both camps.

I've never gone out at the Ridge, but I'm hoping to go this Thursday depending upon how work goes. How many cars do they typically let out into one run group at a time?

I'm less worried about going off track myself than I am about someone spinning out in front of me or going into a corner too hot practicing their mad tyte drift skills.

I think a pretty good number is generally in the 15-25 range depending on the size of the track. I assume you're going with SCCA? They do a good job of making sure the events are as safe as possible and generally run a slower pace than most other track days I've been to. As for the other divers, just keep your eyes open, it's pretty obvious who is driving beyond their abilities and just be sure to give those people space until they get black flagged.

Hey guys/gals! I appreciate the concerns. The staff at the Ridge and Toyota are very responsive to ensuring that participants receive a great experience. I'm sure there will be an opportunity to make some adjustments with grouping so that those with more experience may push the pace a little further.

60 limited drivers on a track for several hours will provide us with some options and a decent number of runs, for $80 this is a an awesome deal with the option for Gymkhana and Go Karts.

I just bought my ticket! This will be my first track event ever! Performance-wise my car is pretty much stock, so I'm just excited to try and see if I can even get close to the limits. Wish I had my wheels on but still waiting for them to ship from Japan...

Also stoked to meet some fellow owners. I see a ton of them where I live (Kirkland area) but the most interaction I have is a wave, if I'm even acknowledged at all. Looking forward to seeing what people have done to their cars and what looks good in person instead of just on the internet
