Correct, and Carlos Sainz Sr is 57 and also killing it on the Dakar. Loeb not only is getting great results on the Dakar, but also managed to win the WRC, at his age, making him he oldest driver to win a WRC leg. Im sure if either Nasser and Carlos decided to break Loeb's record, they could.

Speaking of wings, a Lady in a Suburban tried to give my car a new wing today. Not caring much for the design though.

Yep I still remember the Marlboro Toyota Celica in the Safari Rally but he wasn't famous then.
Back when I was a kid in the 80's my favorite rally car was the Lancia Delta with the Martini livery, and there was a driver named Juha Kankkunen (who also drove the Celica later on). At the time we only had the Safari Rally and the local Hong Kong - Beijing Rally to watch on TV, and 3D Hot Rally to play on the Nintendo (you have a choice of the Celica, the Pajero, or a VW Beatle). Yea, so far I'm fine. The other driver couldn't have been more than four ft from me when she hit the accelerator. She hit me with the right corner of her car smack into the left-center of the trunk lid and it did its thing crumbled up.

I hope, like @bcj does, that it's deemed reparable. So sorry.

This morning, had a patron complaining that it's a "bureaucracy" that my work place is closed to the public & how "unethical" I'm not helping this patron. All I told her was, if you wanna pick up the holds that's ready to pick it up, you gotta call the curbside pickup number. Cuz I'm currently in the meeting (came out to grab something from my office) and I'm far from doing that part of the work (or curbside staff aren't near by). So I gave her a 2 options. Option 1: Call the curbside number and get helped by someone instantly or option 2: wait til I get off the meeting (20mins) waiting outside in the cold til I get her materials. She chose to wait... okay~ after the meeting quickly grab her shit and gave it to her. She complained that she had to wait an hr (minds you, I finished the meeting earlier than 20mins). I reminded her that, she could of called the curbside pickup line to get it done quickly. She didn't like that answer.
Of course, I could of contacted the staff who are doing curbside stuff and get this lady help quickly... but didn't think of that plus didn't feel like going extra mile on the lady who cannot read the sign lol |
