OK so today was a good news bad news day.

Got the SRS control module back via USPS that I was expecting yesterday. Got it reinstalled and fired the car up.
Airbag light is off - Yay! Good news
ABS & Traction Control lights still on - Going to have to track this down
Electric Power Steering light is now on & the power steering is not working.

So I spent a good part of the day checking the normal things, fuses, harnesses, took it for a 5 mile drive, disconnected and reconnected the battery to reset everything with no improvement. I was at a loss so I drove into work to borrow the Subaru Diagnostic Tool (SSM), using that I found multiple codes in multiple systems, cleared them all...still no improvement. Found an option to reprogram and center the Electronic Power Steering system, did that and finally the power steering was working again! Yay!

Went on to figure out the ABS & VDC lights, found a code in the system: U0126-No steering angle sensor signal detected...cleared that code and attempted to calibrate the sensor...wouldn't calibrate, code returned immediately. Checked the data stream...no signal from the Steering Angle Sensor. So I read some things about confirming that the roll connector and steering angle sensor were properly centered and had to remove the steering wheel to do that...once I had the wheel off I realized that the steering angle sensor was missing....not there, not connected...gone.

I guess that was one of the parts that was removed to repair the other BRZ that I just missed during reassembly...LOL

So I'll be ordering one of those tomorrow...hopefully that takes care of the lass 2 warning lights!

New steering angle sensor arrived today, got it installed as soon as I got home. Started the car and all the idiot lights are off!! Calibrated the sensor and cleared all the codes from the system and put the car through a good road testing session, no issues, no codes! I'll be driving it in to work tomorrow to recharge the A/C and do an alignment and dropping off the rebuilt title paperwork at lunchtime!!

Time for the track mods to start!

In addition to the Mishimoto Radiator & Oil Cooler installed during the rebuild, got a set of RPF1's & RE-71R's on the way. Hope to order some coil overs soon...and maybe some brakes!

Turned all the paperwork into the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles, everything was in order, car gets inspected tomorrow and if it passes (which I expect it will) they will issue the title on the spot!

I'd hire you over these "experienced" and "certified" guys that tried to repair my car. They could literally do not a single thing right, and they "specialized" in body repair.
They're under review by the county right now though, not that i would know or have anything to do with that.
How much did it cost in material to repair this totaled car? And roughly how many hours? It didn't seem like enough to be totaled.

I have about $8,500 in it including what I paid for the car...and probably 65 or 70 hours in it.

Pretty sure it was totalled because of the blown airbag & seatbelts and the floorpan, fuel & brakeline damage.

Kudos to your build in rescuing that car. I know many people here frown upon salvage titled cars but folks like you give me hope and confidence that if properly done and fixed there huge $$$ savings and also a way to get to know your car as well.
