Probably. In fact, it was probably some schmuck trying to bamboozle everyone.

If they didn't know what it means, then why would they put it in there?
GR Corolla is a thing.
I can't wait but it will be a tough choice on what to get, that or a new 86.

They probably just tossed a bunch of stuff based on rumors.

Even toyota Crown is listed on there to be on sale...
theres some Crown rumors that the next Crown will be FWD based, and might make its way to North America replacing the Avalon. But then theres absolutely no rumored crown timeline right now...I think the current gen crown came out in 2018/2019 and hasn't had a facelift yet.

Plus why is there a Bz4X launch event 2 months AFTER it goes on sale.....

Why the f would a corporate entity spread rumors to their own employees or have a priority list based on rumors?

Soft Launch vs hard launch/full marketing effort.

I do a double take when I see a Range Rover with a sport badge on the back. Weird because I've never seen a Range Rover at the track.

Not really disagreeing with you but "sport" doesn't have to mean track car.

Anything with "sport" in the name these days basically means an appearance package. Acura was smart enough to not use "sport" as a trim level name, but rather A-spec. Haha

This.

I have noticed this a lot. Although the 'Apex' Corolla does have lowering springs and better tires. But yes, it seems many things with sport in the name are just lip kits, and wheels. Or blacked out badges.

Well, @Captain Snooze said he's never seen a Range Rover (implied with Sport package) on the track. Offroading, for example, could be considered as much a "sport" as driving on a track. So, a Range Rover "Sport" may be configured for offroading, or dune racing, or canyon jumping. Those are all sports of sorts.

Oh boy they call anything a sport these days don’t they? Hope they have fun splashing in the mud and enjoy their participation ribbons.
