Say granny tranny 5x fast
Auto owner!
I have so much torque low-end with my sc running e85 that when wot(high load) on first I have to select to second around 3000-3500rpms for it to actually shift around 7000 to next gear if not it'll hit redline and jerk a bone out of my neck!! Will an ssp performance clutch pack upgrade fix that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by IsaiahW; 09-23-2021 at 08:28 PM. |

The SSP cars were awesome. Not sure about the clutches.

I had one of those probably around '72. Funny there was a mechanic at the local neighbourhood service station whose name was Ramjet (probably Ram or Ramjit) and my older brother and I used to laugh. Maybe that's why. I'll say Candyman 3x, no more. Sorry OP...

I'm no expert but isn't there a way to limit the torque that can be requested of the engine at least as a function of engine speed? The TCU can't be tuned but maybe the engine can be detuned just enough to get it to play nicely with the transmission.

This, that's where I was going. 18psi? Detune and it'll save your drive train. I haven't read about any issues with the AT and a SC until now. |

You would probably be best served contacting SSP. They are the experts on it.
