The new scion iA is a mazda 2 with a different bumper. Toyota is also adopting the skyactiv from Mazda which is speculated to be used in the next Yaris.

Somebody probably got drunk and overspeculated this sharing between mazda and toyota to include the 86.

Overspeculated. Love the word. Should be in motoring's motto.

The actual production cars all start around ~2.5 million yen.

The USD > JPY conversion rate should not be a gauge of actual car price across different regions. You need to consider local PPP to determine whether the car pricing is the same or not.

Just because it sells for ~$20k USD in Japan doesn't mean MSRP will be $20k.

Thank you! I have had this debate with the Canadian rates many times and nobody seems to get it. You cannot just take foreign values, convert to American dollars and call it even since there are 100s of factors involved. In Japan a yen is a yen and converting it to dollars means nothing unless you are paying in them.

I'd like to say you were a dudebro in your younger years, but I know how most army guys are. Fucking weirdos.

Everyone joins because they don't fit in, and they'd rather spend every waking moment being yelled at and berated for doing weak ass push-ups. Or maybe that was just me.
