Well mRNA/CRISPR is the method they use to actually alter the DNA of living things. (And not just new generations like actually change the their current DNA) so I would assume that any of the "powers" other animals have could be had at some point. I mean snakes see in infrared, birds have magnetic navigation, bats and dolphins have sonar/echo location... So even they aren't (knowingly) altering our DNA with the COVID19 vax they are already talking about creating live genetic fixes for certain diseases. And now that the world is more accepting to this... there will probably an after-market upgrades option for your body soon. I mean if a girl can have bigger boobs why can't you have infrared vision? Especially if it doesn't even require surgery... Although I don't know if your brain could/would adapt to it. People who go blind later in life can be fixed but people born blind usually don't even have a brain area dedicated to vision in the traditional sense. Same thing with hearing, it's much easier to fixed damage goods than bless someone with hearing because they literally don't even know what to listen for.

Using the CRISPR system adapted from bacteria, RNA can guide scissors-like enzymes to specific sequences of DNA in order to eliminate or edit a gene. This technique has already been used in trials to cure sickle cell anemia. Now it is also being used in the war against COVID.

It is a thing but it's a very particular sequence. The mRNA for the vaccine is design to cause gene expression. I.e. teach your body to respond to the virus. It does not alter the actual DNA.

Yeah I know the COVID vax is creating just the spike protein which is not changing your core DNA. I'm just saying it's a similar process that they can actually use.
