Limited Spoiler on BRZ to FRS

I am contemplating a purchase for a Limited BRZ Spoiler for my FRS. The colors match and I've been looking for one forever. I heard you have to bolt it on to the trunk but I'm not sure if I want it there forever. I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't want to exactly look through all 52 pages of this section and when I type in such things on the search bar it sends me to all different places.

I was wondering if I could use 3M tape instead. Would it hold? I know I'm gonna get responses like "Bolt it on like the manufacture says blah blah blah" I understand that's what the manufacture recommended but I was just curious to whether or not that would be a viable option.

From what I know I believe Scion is coming out with the same exact spoiler for next year's model. Just go through Scion and order theirs.

I would be concerned about it flying off while driving and potentially hitting another car or pedestrian if it was not properly installed. Lip spoilers can get away with 3m because theyre made of light plastic, the limited spoiler looks like its made of heavier metal. Maybe someone else can chime in but i would either bolt it on for safety and liability reasons or do a trunk swap. Better safe than sorry.

It should be attached as per the manufacturers standards. Especially since that thing has like 9 holes in it that are needed to hold down the wing.

perhaps you can try betalinking. It is stronger than 3M. I mean... thats prob one of the better alternatives if you dont want to drill a hole.

You do not wanna meet me in court after you drive in front of me, your 3M taped spoiler gets loose and smashes my windshield and my face.
