Steering Wheel Feel
I've been going through many reviews of the car and they are all very positive so I definitely can't wait to get my hands on one. My question is whether anyone has heard/read if the FRS/BRZ will have a tight steering wheel feel. I'm coming from a S2000 and my wife's 350z which both have a pretty tight wheel when you turn it. I hope this car doesn't have a very loose steering wheel (again I don't remember reading about it in any reviews but just in case I might of overlooked it). Let me know your thoughts.

It is an electric rack, which is usually a bad thing, but all of the reviews say it's fantastic. I don't know if that means it has great steering feel or just great steering feel for a car with electric power steering though.

IIRC it has something like a 13.1:1 rack and a fairly small wheel, so I imagine the feel will be similar to an S2000, which also has an electric rack.

So far I've read only one review that didn't like the steering feel. Electric assisted steering will be the way of the future. I had a S2000 CR that is also electric assisted and I love it. I actually prefer that a little bit more than the no power assisted steering of my Lotus Exige.

The wheel is small which may play into it. The wheel is essentially a gear, smaller gears need more force to move, could that help it feel ''tight''

The wheel seems to indeed be the same out of 05-07 subaru sti's with a different center. It's a momo wheel, pretty schweet.
for steering feel watch all the drifting in the video, its clear its amazing. |

The steering wheel is the #1 thing you're always interacting with and I've always wanted a small aftermarket wheel but not by losing an airbag. Can't wait to wrap my hands around this one.

Thanks for all the inputs....like some of you said, if it's anything like the S2000 then I will definitely have a blast with it!

I owned a RX8 several years ago which featured an electric rack (sounds more fun). The key thing to note is it's electronic assisted. I'm guessing the FRS/BRZ will be similar, it's primarily used at low speeds (the assist) and becomes less active at higher speeds to give a more natural feel. I loved it, saves HP and fuel!
